KnowBe4 alternatives for MSPs

Victor RaessenFounder, MSP Navigator9 min read

KnowBe4 publishes its list prices and lists more than 1,000 pieces of content in its Advanced library, so it's a common benchmark. Those prices are based on a three-year term and start at a 25-seat band, and partner deal registration needs at least 25 users. For an MSP with many small clients, the billing model can matter as much as the per-seat price. This page compares KnowBe4 with training platforms built around MSP billing, using each vendor's own pages as checked on 21 October 2026.

Key facts, October 2026

  • KnowBe4 lists SAT Foundation at $2.40 and Advanced at $3.75 per seat per month for 25 to 50 seats, on a three-year term (MSRP as of May 2026).
  • Huntress Managed SAT lists an MSRP of $2.08 per learner per month, billed annually, with volume tiers starting at 50 learners.
  • Wizer lists Boost at $25 per user per year for 25-plus users, on a three-year term, and has a free plan.
  • usecure, Phin, Breach Secure Now and CyberHoot don't publish prices. usecure says MSPs get no minimum licences and no long-term commitment; Phin and CyberHoot bill monthly.

KnowBe4

KnowBe4's pricing page shows MSRP list prices as of May 2026, per seat per month on a three-year term. At 25 to 50 seats, Foundation is $2.40 and Advanced is $3.75; at 501 to 1,000 seats they fall to $1.63 and $2.79, and above 1,000 seats it's a custom quote. Foundation has a library of more than 200 pieces of content and Advanced more than 1,000. SSO is included at every level, and there are reporting, Graph and webhook APIs. Multi-tenant consoles, which let you run separate accounts for groups or subsidiaries, carry additional fees per tenant.

For MSPs, KnowBe4's partner programme has three tiers (Authorized, Certified and Premier), with net-new deal registration discounts of 20%, 25% and 30%. Deal registration for SAT needs at least 25 users. KnowBe4's MSP agreement says subscriptions renew automatically for the same term unless you give written notice at least 30 days before the end. KnowBe4 is owned by Vista Equity Partners, which bought it for $24.90 per share in cash and delisted it from Nasdaq.

Best fit for: MSPs with clients of 25 seats or more who want the biggest content library and can commit to multi-year terms. Check first: your partner price after the deal-registration discount, the multi-tenant console fee, and the 30-day renewal notice.

Huntress Managed Security Awareness Training

Huntress's main pricing page lists Managed SAT at an MSRP of $2.08 per learner per month. Its SAT pricing page says it's billed annually, in arrears, for active users only (not ex-employees, shared mailboxes or printers), with volume tiers starting at 50 learners. Huntress builds, curates and schedules the training itself, and most episodes run 7 to 10 minutes. The partner portal handles licence allocation across clients and lets you assign phishing campaigns to several customers at once. Huntress acquired Curricula, a security training company, for $22 million in July 2022.

Best fit for: MSPs already selling Huntress EDR or ITDR who want training run for them under one vendor. Check first: whether your total learner count reaches the 50-learner tier start.

Wizer

Wizer publishes per-user annual prices for its Boost plan on a three-year term: $25 per user per year at 25-plus users, $20 at 51-plus, $17 at 101-plus, down to $8 at 3,001-plus. A 25-user team costs $625 a year. You need at least 25 users to buy online, and one-year pricing is by quote. There's also a free plan with basic training. Boost includes phishing simulations, deepfake and vishing training, white labelling and SSO. For MSPs, Wizer offers a multi-tenant platform where you can deploy one module to all customers at once, an MSP API and a four-tier partner programme. IRONSCALES also bundles Wizer videos in its own training module.

Best fit for: MSPs that want short video training with a published price and a free tier for very small clients. Check first: the three-year term on the published price, and the 25-user online minimum.

usecure

usecure doesn't publish prices; you request them. It prices per user per month, and for MSPs says there are "No Minimum Licenses" and "No Long Term Commitments", with monthly usage-based billing. MSPs get a free not-for-resale licence, discounted buy pricing with your own sell price, and the uService multi-tenant portal. The platform is fully white-labelled and includes 200-plus courses, 400-plus phishing templates and 60-plus policy documents. usecure says it has more than 2,000 MSP partners.

Best fit for: MSPs with many small clients who want monthly billing and no minimums. Check first: your per-user buy price.

Phin

Phin bills monthly on active users with no long-term contract, and doesn't publish prices. Its content comes from several providers, including NINJIO, GoldPhish, Arctic Wolf, Hook and CFISA, and it offers white-labelled training. MSPs can manage campaigns across tenants from one dashboard. Phin lists PSA integrations with ConnectWise and HaloPSA, with Autotask in closed beta, and also has an open API.

Best fit for: MSPs on ConnectWise or HaloPSA who want training and billing to sync with the PSA. Check first: the per-user price and the Autotask integration status if you use Autotask.

Breach Secure Now

Breach Secure Now was founded in 2014, is channel-only and says it never sells directly to partners' clients. Its Breach Prevention & Productivity product combines phishing simulation, dark web monitoring and weekly training, and it adds compliance training for healthcare and Microsoft 365 productivity training. It offers a 30-day trial with no card and says it has more than 3,000 MSP partners. Pricing isn't published.

Best fit for: MSPs that want training plus dark web monitoring and productivity content from a channel-only vendor. Check first: price and contract terms, since neither is published.

CyberHoot

CyberHoot sends pricing by email on request. It offers monthly billing that you can cancel at any time, or discounted annual plans, with no long-term commitment. Its trial needs a card but isn't charged. It publishes integration guides for Autotask, ConnectWise and HaloPSA, plus IT Glue and Hudu.

Best fit for: MSPs that want monthly terms and PSA or documentation hooks. Check first: the emailed price list and any volume discounts.

What to check before switching

  1. Your KnowBe4 term end. Published prices assume three years, and the MSP agreement auto-renews unless you give 30 days' written notice. Put the date in the calendar.
  2. Minimums per client or per MSP. KnowBe4 and Wizer start at 25 users; Huntress SAT tiers start at 50 learners. usecure says it has no minimum for MSPs.
  3. Training history. Export completion records and phishing results before you leave. Clients with cyber insurance or compliance audits may need them.
  4. Directory sync. Confirm Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace sync works for each client and that leavers drop off billing.
  5. Content length and languages. Show clients a sample. Huntress episodes run 7 to 10 minutes; Wizer uses one-minute videos.
  6. PSA billing. If you bill clients through your PSA, check whether the vendor syncs seat counts. Phin and CyberHoot name PSA integrations.
