Proofpoint 365 Total Protection (formerly Essentials)

Proofpoint 365 Total Protection is Proofpoint's all-in-one security suite for Microsoft 365 and the successor to Proofpoint Essentials. It is built on Hornetsecurity's platform, which Proofpoint acquired. It combines email security (spam, malware, phishing and BEC filtering with AI detection, attachment and URL sandboxing, and post-delivery removal), email encryption, DMARC management, archiving and compliance controls, Microsoft 365 backup and recovery, and security awareness training. It deploys through MX records or the Microsoft 365 API. MSPs manage customer tenants from one portal with the 365 Multi-Tenant Manager and predefined policies, and it is available through Pax8.
