About
IDrive® BMR offers bare metal recovery solutions for businesses, enabling full system backups and rapid restoration in case of disaster.
Overview
IDrive BMR is an onsite bare-metal disaster recovery appliance that replicates to the IDrive cloud. It runs image-based backups of computers, local servers and virtual machines to a local device with bare metal restore, capturing the whole disk including the operating system, application configurations and network drives, with granular restore options. Data on the device can be replicated to your IDrive cloud account and managed through a browser, and local and cloud data are protected with AES-256 CCM encryption.
The device protects Windows computers and servers and VMware machines, including VMs on ESXi or vCenter with their configurations. It keeps snapshot backups for point-in-time recovery after ransomware, can host NAS and iSCSI shares with local snapshots, and uses a Changed Block Tracking driver for faster backups. ZFS LZ4 compression saves space, and each volume gets regular integrity checks. Devices use AMD or Intel hardware with 2 TB, 4 TB or 7.5 TB SATA SSD storage. It suits MSPs that want a local BCDR appliance with cloud replication for small business clients.
