Datadog Infrastructure Monitoring is a SaaS service that provides metrics, visualizations and alerting for cloud and hybrid environments. It can be deployed on-premises and in hybrid, edge and multi-cloud environments, and offers vendor-backed integrations for Kubernetes, serverless platforms and more than 900 other technologies. Tag-based search and analytics help break down complex infrastructure.

Datadog says the service needs no professional services or extensive training to deploy, and the interface needs no query language. It tracks tens of thousands of infrastructure metrics out of the box and keeps continuous historical records, even for infrastructure that no longer exists. AIOps correlates events to surface issues and reduce alert fatigue, and one-click correlation links related metrics, traces, logs and security signals for troubleshooting. Datadog also supports OpenTelemetry and offers application performance monitoring. It suits MSPs managing cloud-heavy clients who need deep infrastructure metrics beyond a typical RMM.
